These photos of the crew were essential for the press packs as it gave us pictures to go along with a description of each member. Not all of us were photographed because Kai couldn't attend this lesson.

I really like the camera Aleyna held in her photograph because it coincides with my idea of film crews. I wish we'd have gotten a chance to use it more, even if we were told it's outdated. I'm hoping to use more of this equipment in future projects.

I'd like my press kit to look somewhat like this: http://www.strangerthingsfilm.com/st_media/StrangerThings_PressKit.pdf

I want to add an overview detailing the location, the film's length and production length, the lenghts being estimates as we did not record this information.

On the first few pages I'd like to add the film's synopsis. I like how they have a logline, a synopsis, a short synopsis, and finally, a long synopsis. I'm thinking of rewriting part of our film's synopsis to fit this format.

Logline:

Every murderer has a motive. Some do it for money, others for power, a crime of passion and some just for pleasure. This killer claims she did it to survive.

I enjoy this format. It's clean and professional, and reminiscent of older press kits.

We were advised to use Canva but, I might use a mixture of multiple programs to accomplish the final product.

CAST

Aleyna Erkan...........Tracey Avril Wigginton

Evan Jones.......................Edward Baldock

FILMMAKERS

Writers...........Kai Hodgson, Jacob Martins

Producer/Camera...................Kai Hodgson

Director..................................Grace Maullu

Editor....................................Jacob Martins

I enjoy this information on each individual member. I'd like to have some info about everyone and their role in the production. I want to add a short section detailing my development, motivation and journey throughout this project.

Lastly, I'd like to add photos of the cast and crew and stills of the movie, pictures of Kai holding the camera and Evan and Aleyna recreating scenes.

I'll make sure to include the poster and try to find a place for the teaser trailer.

I have created an Instagram that can be used for contact information.

If I can come up with any merchandise for this project I'd like to add that, as well.

Altered Synopsis:

Every murderer has a motive. Some do it for money, others for power, a crime of passion and some just for pleasure. This killer claims she did it to survive.

On October 20th, 1989, a group of young women are enjoying the night at a club when, 24-year-old Tracey Wigginton starts craving blood. Unsatisfied with the blood previously provided by her girlfriend, Tracey leaves the club in search for new types of blood.

She stumbles through an unkept path in the park where she bumps into a drunk Edward Baldock, who she promptly seduces and convinces to strip naked. While he is busy folding his clothes, Tracey grabs a knife from her pocket. Edward, seeing the knife, attempts to flee but Tracey grabs his shoulder and stabs him in the neck. She continues to relentlessly stab his neck and chest, almost completely decapitating him. After she’s satisfied, she grabs a cigarette and watches the body. She then returns to the club, where she finds her friends.

The following day, a jogger finds Edward’s body covered in blood and immediately calls the police. The police investigate the scene and next to the body find a bank card belonging to Tracey.

The police arrive at Tracey’s house and question her involvement to the crime; she denies ever having met Baldock. They do not have sufficient evidence to declare her guilty. They interview Tracey’s friends and after numerous interviews, one reveals the truth behind the murder. The police confront Tracey with this newfound evidence. This time her story changes, she claims she saw the body but was too scared to report it. Police arrest her; she is the prime suspect in their investigation. In the police station she confesses to have murdered Edward.

While waiting for her court trial, the police notice the abnormalities in her behaviour and send her to psychologists and psychiatrists. These diagnose her with dissociative identity disorder (D.I.D.) where 6 alters are found. It is assumed April, one of the alters, is the one who murdered Baldock that night. The bank card next to the scene had been planted by another one of the alters, hoping April would be brought to justice.

The day arrives and Tracey is deemed fit to stand in court. She pleads guilty and gets life imprisonment.

She is imprisoned in 1991 and given parole in 2012, 23 years after the murder. Still living in Australia, it seems like her thirst has been quenched.

Logo:

"According to the Imaginary Forces team, the resulting font was intended to be a combination of the font for a Stephen King novel, and something pulled from the title sequence of the Alien movie."

Black is used for the letters, outlined by red. The "S" and "R" in "Stranger" are slightly dipped.

As seasons progress, their respective number is added behind the "Stranger Things" text. This was common practice in the 80s. A faint glow is present on the number.

Posters:

The logo is always centered, located at the bottom. Season's 4 poster actually deviates from the previous posters. Previously, they had a center character with their hands extended, and head tilted down, surrounded by the rest of the cast. However, in season 4 they are all facing the underground. Almost as if, instead of the underground coming to them, they are coming to it.

Netflix is often located on the bottom, in the most recent posters being located at the center. Season 4 was separated into 2 parts so, 2 dates are added to the left of Netflix. With the headline being introduced in season's 3 poster.

Kyle Lambert, the poster artist for seasons 1-3, has created the below articles showcasing his work being advertised on different media. It can be seen on billboards, subways, toys, vinyls, books, etc.

Social Media:

Instagram:

I have found 2 official Instagrams from Stranger Things. The first one focus on giving viewers updates, trailers and behind the scenes posts while the second one is for their real stores. The posts are often on location and often involve the cast; We see fans in the store's Instagram.

Twitter and Facebook:

From Twitter and Facebook, we see users interacting with the posts. It is important to have a wide range of social media. Not everyone that uses Facebook has Twitter, with more platforms it's possible to reach a wider audience. Some of their posts include inverted text, a prominent feature of the show.

Stores:

Real Life:

Strangers Things has physical stores. From my understanding, these are pop up stores. They showcase iconic scenes from the series, they include an arcade, and of course they sell merch.

Here is one of their store's locations: https://feverup.com/m/100756

Online:

They have an online store on Netflix. Merch is a key element when promoting a show, not only will it be able to satisfy fans with mementos from their favorite shows but, it will also introduce people to the franchise.

Fan Merch:

As with any popular show, fan, and even official merch, is sold on countless merch websites.

Collaborations:

Stranger things has had multiple collaborations, some of them include: H&M, Pull&Bear, Levi's, Havaianas, Polaroid OneStep 2, LEGO, Funko Pop and cereal brands.

Collabs introduce fans of a brand to another, therefore gathering more attention to both brands.

Not related to Stranger Things (the series) but I think it deserves a mention:
