My job roles include: Screenwriter, Lighting Technician, Camera Operator

As a screenwriter, I've examined a previous script in order to create my own. I also created a prior script which was ultimately scrapped. This all helped to develop the current script.

As the lighting technician for a club scene, I have looked at existing clubs and other lighting technician's insights on the matter. I have to be able to use the provided lights to their utmost capability to ensure that the scene feels like a nightclub.

As the camera operator for the prison and court scenes, I have to make sure to interact with the director to make sure their vision is realised. The characters have to be in frame and the angles need to be decided according to their direction. I will also need to interact with the lighting technician for that scene, in case there's insufficient lighting to provide a clear shot.

I will also have to keep in mind sound as this will be diegetic sound. During prior research, I

discovered the 180 rule and the importance of screen direction, meaning if a character is on the left, they should stay on the left in the next couple scenes; if a subject is passed from the left to the right of the screen, it should continue that same motion in the next scenes.

Screenwriters or script writers, as the name implies, write the script. They are given a rough draft of the story and it's their job to make notes for the camera operators as well as lines for the actors.

Lighting technicians are responsible for the lighting used in production. It's essential they work with the director to make sure their vision is realised. They have to overcome obstacles such as skin looking too pale and strange shadows in weird places. It's their job to fix this and make sure the shots are lit according to the scene's requirements.

Camera operators work on cameras. They need to make sure the characters are in frame, they make sure the actors don't look out of place in their positions and they work with lighting technicians to make sure the shots are well lit. When working with multiple cameras they need to make sure not to interfere with each other's shot.

Actors

Our actors will be Aleyna and Evan. They will bring the characters to life. As stated on the left, they were chosen due to their similarities to the director's vision. With make-up we are hoping to make them look older, if not possible however, we will have to compromise and age down the characters.

Script Writer

I was the script writer for the project. After looking at the storyboards and prior research, I dabbled in script writing. This then led to my role as the script writer.

Script writers research and develop the story. They bring emotions to characters and give them dialogue.

Camera Operators

Our camera operators will rotate throughout the group, not including the main actor, Aleyna. When not acting I do believe Evan will be a good camera operator; he has continuously impressed me with his photography. They are 2 different fields, I'm aware, but both involve vision with a camera.

Lightning Technicians

For the same reasons stated above, I think Evan would be well suited for this position. However, due to his acting role, we will need someone else. I've previously done lights for the poster photoshoo; I can be the lighting technician. Our main lighting wil be natural light nonetheless, we will need someone working on lighting for the indoor scenes.

Lighting technicians control the lighting to make sure shadows and lights are filmed according to the director's vision.

Editors

We were all given the role of editor. Instead of having a sole editor, our class will each work on their individual editing process. This will give us 5 final trailers similar to eachother, with minor differences. We will use WeVideo, as it's a software we have used before. This program is used for L2 Media. Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro are often used instead, they will be used for L3.

Director

Kai, formerly Alicia, is our director. They were the one who proposed the idea for the project. In a previous project they excelled at directing. Directors are the connecting point between the screen and behind the scenes. They need to direct the necessary people to make sure their ideas will come into fruition.

The contingency plan is made to avoid further delays. If something goes wrong and is not possible to be filmed, whether it be problems with time contraints, budgets, or other issues, the contingency plan can completely save a production.

More props could include: a gavel, handcuffs, socks, ID card, newspaper, cigarrettes
