In the statistics it never shows the amount of people that were questioned, or the people that don't take part in these acts. Therefore, even though we can say the numbers are rising, we don't have enough data to conclude that this statement is true.

We can see there are many different types of teenagers. A simple collection of information isn't going to change that. We all see the world through a different lens, we know teenagers aren't the only ones committing crimes. We know there's criminals out there, I think portraying teenagers as criminals isn't a healthy practice.

We are back talking about how the media portrays teenagers in a negative light. As seen in the above newspaper the teen is seen as a zombie controlled by video games. Although it is true the media influences us, I'd say most of us can define right from wrong.

As I've said before I don't think age is a factor when dealing with murder related crimes, even if this is how the media decides to portray teens. This could be due to the fact it is more shocking to hear a teen murdered someone than to hear an adult murdered someone. If you had to compare 2 murderers, one a child, one a teen; the child murderer would have a more shocking effect towards the reader. Just as any crime, something ultimately led to the murder. What could that reason be? The answer is always different yet, a child murderer is not as different from an adult murderer. Both encountered a problem. Both used violence to solve it.

We went a little off topic but nonetheless, shocking news will always grab your attention, murders are already seen as shocking so when you imagine your own child could be one of them it makes you worry. That fear will stay in your mind, and you'll be more prone to buying newspapers that include teen crimes.

Framing:

Framing can be described as the presentation of visual elements of an image formed by a subject’s placement in relation to another object. It helps create symmetry and brings attention to the framed object. It helps manipulate the viewpoint.

Composition:

Composition is how the elements of a photo are arranged. A composition can be made up of many different elements, or only a few.

Filling the frame:

It simply means to fill your photograph with more of the subject. Get closer.

Rule of thirds:

It divides a photo into nine parts. It's a guideline that places the subject in a third of the image.

Lines and perspectives:

It's defined as the sense of depth between objects in a photo. By changing perspective, subjects can appear much smaller or larger than normal.

Depth of field:

It's the distance between the closest and farthest objects in a photo. You can either choose to blur the background or the foreground depending on the focal point of attention.

Macro:

It's close-up photography of small subjects. The subject is bigger than life size.

Blank Space will be the name of the magazine. I think it's a broad name, in a world where fashion is ever changing 'Blank Space' will fill that blank space. I was inspired by the music, that suddenly popped into my mind, when looking at a magazine from Vogue.

Cover Line:

"You have to not only live your life in spite of people who don't understand you — you have to have more fun than they do."

Since then I've fully focused on the song aspect of the project. And here is my final cover along with an undeveloped, yet loved, project.

Horoscopes!! How could I have forgotten the only reason I'd ever even look inside a magazine?

Project progress:

Looking back at this post a lot has changed. The undeveloped project ended up being the final cover for the magazine, and the former cover was fully scratched.
