Film Trailer Pre-Production

Story boards were a key element in the production of this project. They helped decide which shots were filmed; we didn't utilize all of the drawn shots. They should also prove to be helpful in editing. I didn't partake in the drawing of these shots. 2 students from our group drew them while the rest of us worked on different parts of the project

The script portrays perfectly what we were trying to achieve however, due to only using the storyboard when filming, the raw footage didn't quite live up to it. Our shot list ended up becoming the story boards, shown above. The script and shot list were created by our producer.

As we had a lack of props, it wasn't essential to annotate them however, it was important to annotate the equipment used as the cameras and tripods aren't ours and we are responsible for them. Researching outfits, served a key role in the outfits chosen on location, however I'm not fully satisfied with the colors, and expressions worn/portrayed by the actor (ironic). This includes one of the parts I worked on.

We were given sentence starters, this really helped get started however, I felt somewhat restricted by the "Follow me!" prompt we chose. I feel like this was the case with the others as the prompt was somewhat ignored and we instead focused on the voices heard in the character's head.

This was quite a mess of information, and a lot of repeating information. I think that was our fault, however. Here we talk about location, scripts, props, and the genre itself. These were used like bullet point, initial ideas rather than coherent work sheets. We all worked together on these ones.
